Carport canopies over Glendale parking lots
A carport array over a parking lot takes everything the lot throws up: tire dust, exhaust, and bird droppings from the birds that roost under the canopy. The low edge of each panel collects the most dirt because rain and dew run down and leave it there. I start at the high side and work down so the dirty water does not dry back onto clean glass.
Cars have to move. A canopy over occupied stalls means coned-off rows, a weekend, or an early start before staff arrive. Tell me which rows are under the array and whether the lot can be cleared section by section. Glass drips on cars, and I would rather plan around that than apologize for it.
Office and medical roofs around Arrowhead
North Glendale around Arrowhead Towne Center and 59th Avenue has low professional buildings, medical and dental offices, and clinics, many with flat roofs behind a parapet. A roof array there is out of sight, so nobody notices it is dusty until the monitoring shows a drop. If your monitoring shows the output falling between storms, that is usually the time to clean.
I need to know how to get onto the roof: a fixed ladder, a hatch, or an outside access point. I also need to know who holds the key and whether the building wants proof of insurance before anyone goes up. I am fully insured. Send that in the first text with the address and a photo or a satellite view of the array.
West Glendale dust and the 303 flat roofs
West Glendale, toward Luke Air Force Base and the Loop 303 New Frontier district, still has a lot of open and graded ground. Wind and passing trucks keep fine dust in the air, and summer dust storms coat every flat panel in one afternoon. The light monsoon rain that follows does not wash it off. It turns the dust into mud streaks that dry hard on the glass.
Big new warehouses along the 303 often have white TPO roofs. If your building has an array up there, walking paths and roof rules matter more than the panels. Tell me what the roof warranty or the facility team allows. I will not walk a membrane without a clear path, and I do not spray anything on the roof except purified water.
What the visit covers
A commercial solar visit is a purified-water rinse of the panel glass, done from the edge or an approved walkway. No soap residue, no pressure washer, and no walking on the modules. I do not repair wiring or inverters, and I do not move panels. If I see a cracked module or loose wiring, I take a photo and tell you.
